Originating from the same design stable as the world renown Arun Class offshore lifeboat, The Arun series of rigid hulled inflatable boats are constructed of aerospace composite materials or marine grade aluminium and fully comply with ISO 6185-3 or 4, European Union directives 94/25/EC and 2003/44/EC, Transport Canada regulations TP 1332 and TP 9247 and the Small Craft Safety Regulations of the U.S. Coast Guard. All Arun rapid response craft are self-righting, by means of the buoyancy contained within the watertight superstructure.

Heavy duty shock mitigating bolster seating is installed to protect the crew from injury due to high G forces.

The craft are able to operate in adverse weather conditions and are fitted with a counter stern to allow greater control when running slow in a following sea or boarding ship to ship. Power can be provided by twin direct drive inboard marine diesels, twin water jet propulsion, Seafury surface drive or high horsepower outboard motors.

Arun RRC’s are available in lengths of 6.5, 7.9. 9.25 and 12.0 metres, however each unit is specially modified to meet the individual customers specific operational requirements.

AIRPORT RESCUE CRAFT

ARUN 650

Rather than depend on easily damaged air inflated tubes for stability, Arun RRC’s are fitted with Air Backed Foam Hybrid collars consisting of an internal air bladder, closed cell fire retardant foam enclosed within a 3 part urethane coated polymer sheath which is impervious to ballistics fire ensuring the safe return of the crew from a mission.
